NORFOLK, VA – Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Mid-Atlantic (NAVFAC MIDLANT) awarded Sauer Construction, LLC, Jacksonville, Florida, a $45,078,384, firm-fixed-price contract for ordnance facility construction at Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, Virginia.
This contract provides for construction of up to five, Type-D earth-covered ordnance facilities, plus demolition. Construction will consist of reinforced concrete walls, floors and foundations. It will have entrance and loading aprons, ordnance bonding, grounding and lightning protection systems, and intrusion detection systems.
Work will be performed in Yorktown, and will be completed by November 2025.
Fiscal year 2022 military construction (Navy) funds in the amount of $45,078,384 will be obligated at time of award, and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
This contract was competitively procured via the sam.gov website, with one offer received.
